An Arkansas Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation branch partnered with the American Warrior Initiative (AWI) to honor a local U.S. veterans organization with a grant at an event in Little Rock. In collaboration with this event, a “Boot Camp” was held to train real estate professionals and mortgage planners on how to excellently handle the home purchase needs of active duty military members and veterans.
Darby’s Warrior Support is a local non-profit organization that provides physically and emotionally injured veterans with all-inclusive Arkansas hunting and fishing opportunities in an environment that comforts, encourages and fosters rehabilitation, recovery and transition. Fairway and AWI presented Darby’s Warrior Support with a $10,000 grant at the event.
Branch manager Robin Reid loved hosting this event and seeing the difference Fairway and the AWI can make in U.S. veterans’ lives. She said,
“This event touched our community, and we were able to show the heart of Fairway. Realtors communicated they had no idea what veterans and their families go through. They also said they are super-motivated to get back out there and make a difference, and they have renewed energy to use their career to serve others.”
Co-founded by Louise Thaxton and Sean Parnell, the American Warrior Initiative is a non-profit organization sponsored by Fairway Independent Mortgage. The AWI seeks to ease U.S. veterans’ transition from military to civilian life.
I am proud to work for a company that does so much to honor those who sacrifice for our country. If I can help answer any questions about VA loans or any other home loan options, give me a call.Tags: Veterans
